Not a MOHRE recruitment agency · Not a visa sponsor · Job advertising only — employers pay, workers never do

Why this board exists

The UAE job market is full of scams. This one isn’t.

Worker-pays boards let recruiters profit before a job exists. Trabaho is employer-pays only: you browse and apply for free; employers pay to advertise — not to access your CV.

For job seekers

Apply to unlimited jobs for free. If a listing asks for a deposit, visa fee, or medical-test payment, report it — that’s illegal under UAE labour law.

For employers

3 free listings per 30 days, then AED 29 (VAT incl.) per 30-day post. Flat fee — no commission if you hire, no per-applicant charges.

For everyone

Not a recruitment agency. No placement fees. No worker-paid verification badges. Listings sorted by publish date — no paid boost slots.

How we screen

Three checks before a job appears in your feed

We verify the employer, not just the text. Discriminatory wording and pay-to-apply scams are blocked before publish.

  1. Trade licence on file

The employer’s licence is reviewed before listings can go live. We state “licence verified by Trabaho” — not that we guarantee the employer.

  2. Attestation + two-factor auth

The employer signs a UAE Labour Law compliance attestation and secures their account with 2FA before publishing.

  3. Listing moderation

Automated and human checks block nationality-only posts, gender/age restrictions, and “pay AED 500 to apply” scams.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

Your rights as a worker in the UAE.

Quick reference. The UAE Labour Law — Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, as amended by Federal Decree-Law No. 9 of 2024 — protects you whether you're a national or expatriate.

Pay & hours

  • Maximum 8 hours/day or 48 hours/week (Art. 17). Overtime is voluntary, capped at 2 hours/day.
  • Overtime pay: +25% on regular overtime, +50% for night shifts and public holidays (Art. 19).
  • Wage Protection System (WPS): wages paid through bank or licenced exchange — on time, in full.
  • Friday rest day + paid UAE public holidays.

Leave & time off

  • Annual paid leave: 30 days/year after one year (Art. 29). Pro-rated 2 days/month before that.
  • Sick leave: up to 90 days/year — 15 days full pay, 30 days half pay, 45 days unpaid (Art. 31).
  • Maternity leave: 60 days — 45 days full pay + 15 days half pay (Art. 30).
  • Bereavement leave for immediate family loss (Art. 32).

Protection from abuse

  • Anti-discrimination by race, colour, sex, religion, national origin, social origin, or disability (Art. 4).
  • No harassment, bullying, or violence — physical, verbal, sexual, or psychological (Art. 14).
  • No retaliation for filing a complaint or a court claim against your employer (Art. 47).
  • 2024 amendment: MOHRE dispute decisions are now binding like court orders (FDL No. 9 of 2024, Art. 54).

End of service

  • End-of-service gratuity: 21 days/year for the first 5 years, 30 days/year thereafter (Art. 51).
  • Repatriation ticket at the employer's cost when your contract ends (Art. 13).
  • Notice period: 30 to 90 days, paid in lieu if you're dismissed without cause (Art. 43).
  • You keep your gratuity even if you resign — it's earned, not granted.
The employer pays. You don't. All visa, permit, medical, and recruitment costs are the employer's responsibility — never the worker's. Anyone asking you to pay a "processing fee" or "deposit" to apply is breaking the law.
Report violations to MOHRE. Toll-free in the UAE: 800 60. Online: mohre.gov.ae. Free, in your language, and (since the 2024 amendments) the rulings are binding.

Common questions

Straight answers

Do I pay to apply?

No. Registering, browsing, applying, and withdrawing are free — always. If anyone asks you to pay to apply through Trabaho, report the listing.

What does “verified employer” mean?

We reviewed their trade licence and they signed a UAE Labour Law attestation. It is fraud-prevention diligence — not a guarantee of how they will treat you.

Are you a recruitment agency?

No. We are a moderated job-advertising board. We do not shortlist candidates, negotiate offers, or charge commission on hires.

When do employers pay AED 29?

Only after 3 free posts in 30 days, or to extend a listing past its 30-day window. Details on the pricing page.

FOR EMPLOYERS
